Cousin Marguerite O’Connor writes: “Thérèse looks thin, pretty and tired, but she was still kind and generous. She had five children, including rambunctious boys and her parents living with her. Pepe was wheelchair-bound with full dementia. He needed to be fed, bathed, etc. And suddenly Mémé returned from a trip to BC to visit her sister with a lost hippie rock & roll teenager (me). I became very close to Edmund and I loved Marianne though she wasn't wild like me. I stayed with them for months and have some good stories. Then they shipped me off to the Hawkins who said the rosary at supper every day! That's another story.”
